Canterbury swim school T4

Hi Guys welcome back to my blog, today's blog is about Canterbury swim school, my teacher for swim school's name is Holly and we swim in the big pool with the deep end. What we have been learning is bubble and breathe back stroke front stroke we have also done some stuff without the board. I really enjoy swimming but I struggle so hard on the back stroke even with the bored but ill get there I know it. My Storys Start

Lately I have been doing Topic sentences and what is a paragraph. I have already done my first paragraph, What I did is I tried to make it sound interesting and not boring so people like it and think its interesting, I also I'm going to show you my first one hope you like it and feel free to leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment and feedback. Last night I had the worst dream of my life. My tummy had a huge knot.

What I can remember about my dream is that it was really dark in town. No one was around it was kinda foggy too. Then I heard a loud thud behind me and there it was the biggest hairiest monster I had ever seen, limping towards me. mumbling my name then that's when I had this feeling that I should run away from the big beast.

My Rule Of Three.

The rule of three.
What is the rule of three you may be thinking? 
1 what the risk is.  In this case what was the risk in The Three Little Pigs
2 two confirms what bad behavior is.  In the Three Little Pigs it is the wolf blowing down the houses and eating pigs.
3 At three we know the rules, and so can appreciate what the smart third person is doing differently to break the unsuccessful pattern to win. The Three Little Pigs had the third pig building his house out of brick.  This was the sensible thing to do.

Here's my one.  It shows the Rule of Three for three different stories.  Story 1 was The Three Little Pigs, story 2 was Jack and the Beanstalk and story 3 is Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Three little pigs and the true story of the three little pigs

This term (term 3) in reading we have been doing fairy tales. First we had to know what an antagonist and protagonists were and i'm going to tell you what they are. A protagonist is the main character or a good guy and an antagonist is a villain that tries to harm the main character or in other words a bad guy.

Woodend Camp

Today I'm going to show you my writing I have done for the past 2 week. i'm not going to show all of it but ill show you part of it.

Camp Time!

In second week of the winter holidays Monday 16 July, Mum woke me up really early and said “Ryleigh wake up time to get ready for camp.” I got up with a grizzle then I got out of bed really slowly dragging my feet behind me.

Then Mum dropped some clothing for me to wear on my bed I got changed into my cloths and mum said I had to have breakfast asked her do I have to? (yes you do).

Digital ignition

Over the last few weeks the years 4, 5 and 6 have been doing Digital Ignition

We had different session times. The years six (in Ako Ngtahi) went to the first session. We learnt letters in binary. We had to match letters from our word and find them on the chart to work out its code. It was fun but I find it hard to understand the on/off coding.  After our session  Room three and four. 

The second week was the year 4 and 5's turn. They went on scratch Jr and they landscaped Maui and the sun. The second session for us we got to control an Mbot, a little robot. We had to be in a group of three or four. I was in a group of 4 and we got M  bot to say hello and we got to make an Mbot move.

The last session we did I don't know about because I was away but I wish we could of done more Digital Ignition.

DNA!!!

This term in reading we have been working in different groups the groups i'm in is called DNA.

Back To School!

This week is the fist week back at school. We went back to school on Wednesday but I went back on Friday. On Friday morning I was so happy to be back at my school and my favorite school. But the best part of all was seeing my fabulous teachers after we did the role we lined up to go to the hall to see the Fantastic Mr Elgregeo. I was so exited and could not wait. When we got to the hall the stage was all set up ready for the show my class sat down then it began Elgregeo had a  new helper called been it was his first time on the job. Mr Elgregeo blew up a bloon and popped it and a bird came out it was a white bird. He also made a bird come out of a painting it was a white pigeon and he did some cool tricks with popcorn the new yellow budgey and my favorite the  makaow the makaow is blue and yellow and he also had an African grey. Elgregoe had some new tricks he put his arm through a glass mirror for his last trick before the show ended.
